About Friago

Friago embodies what is fun, fresh, sophisticated and beautiful. Every thing you find at Friago is handmade or found keeping in mind the importance that every piece will be a reflection of who you are. We pride ourselves in providing things that are made from the heart and, in most cases, that come handmade fresh from someone’s studio. At Friago, we live by the saying “Life is a gift, Enjoy the Present.”  

What does "Friago" mean?

Our name comes from the partnership that forms Friago -  Francisca & Tiago de Souza.

About me
 
I fell in love with design at a very early age. I was born in Chile, raised in the wonderfully diverse California Bay Area and then moved to South Florida where I further explored my love of design and received my Bachelors degree in Architecture. After being laid off from my 9-5 job due to a poor economy, I rekindled one of my hobbies, making jewelry.
 

Fueled by the desire to really do something I loved full-time, I began to seriously invest time in my jewelry designs. That's when Friago came into existence!
 

I love pieces of jewelry that use unique materials, textures and colors that are exquisitely contemporary and fresh. I'm inspired by pretty much everything. Beautiful architecture, nature, art, and people.
I love to create and see other peoples creations. I'm meticulous and full of energy about pretty much everything. I can't have one boring moment in my life or I go crazy. I love to talk and shop and look at beautiful things.
